\"Poker\" <\/p>\n

Several countries claim to have started poker, but it probably originated in Persia. Today, it is mostly played in more sophisticated forms. It is played around a table with a group of people. The goal is to create the best hand possible.<\/p>\n

The basic game is played by a group of people around a circular table. Each player has five cards, and a hand of five cards of the same suit is considered to be a strong hand. A straight is five cards in sequential order, and holding different suits is also considered a strong hand.<\/p>\n

A pot is the sum of all the bets made by all players in one deal. The best hand can win the pot, or it can be tied if more than one player remains in contention.<\/p>\n

Before the game starts, the player to the left of the dealer button posts a small blind, and the dealer deals the cards. The players then evaluate their hands. When they are certain they have the best hand, they call or raise the bet. If they believe they are beaten, they fold.<\/p>\n

When the cards are revealed, the players will bet once again. If there is a tie, the deal is repeated, and ties are broken.<\/p>\n

In most games, players will be dealt five cards, and they must use them to make the best hand possible. Two of a kind is a strong hand, as is a three of a kind.
